[A robber hymn. ca. 1809.]

This hymn is thought to have been composed by McNemar and probably is in his handwriting. It describes an actual event at Union Village, Ohio, when the Shakers' quarters were broken into and robbed. The thieves got $6.00, a fact that the hymn does not record.
